- As you pass through a few tea stalls and guesthouses, the path leads alongside a small stream.
- Arrival at Bhagsu Waterfall (~2 km from Bhagsunag)
- Spend 15–20 minutes here: enjoy the waterfall, refill water bottles at nearby springs (if safe), stretch briefly.
- Optional: grab a hot tea or maggi at a local stall before continuing.

- At about 2,600 m, the forest thins out, and you reach an open meadow. You’ll see panoramic views of the lower Dharmshala valley.
- Stop (10–15 min) to enjoy the scenery and take photos. This is also where wildlife (marmots, birds) is often spotted.
- Final Push to Karthani Camp (~11:00 – 12:30)
- From the meadow, the trail zigzags more steeply toward Karthani (approx. 2,800 m).

Additional Tips & Considerations
- Weather Check: Before starting, confirm the weather forecast. Rain or snow can make trails slippery.
- Accommodations: If you wish to overnight in Bhagsunag (either before Day 1 or after Day 2), there are several guesthouses/hostels available.
- Altitude & Acclimatization: Although Triund is only ~3,100 m, if you’re not acclimatized, move at a comfortable pace. Stay hydrated and watch for mild headache or dizziness.
- Mobile Connectivity: Intermittent. BSNL/MTNL might work at higher camps, but don’t rely on it. Download offline maps if you prefer to track your location.
- Sanitation: Pit toilets at Bhagsunag and Bhagsu. Limited/basic facilities at Karthani—carry biodegradable toilet paper and a small trash bag to pack out non-biodegradable waste.
- Wildlife & Environment: Stay on the marked trail, do not litter, and avoid disturbing wildlife (marmots, mountain goats).
Enjoy your trek! The Triund route combines serene forests, alpine meadows, sweeping panoramas of the Dhauladhar, and the sense of accomplishment atop Triund Top. Pack light, stay hydrated, and savor every moment of this classic Himachal adventure.
